…to complain to the BBC about BBC1 cutting off Enter Sandman from Live Earth to instead play Katie Melua and Crowded House from other LE gigs.
Spinal Tap fans may also wish to put in a complaint here – they’ve cut one song from the end here to bloody Rihanna and interactive isn’t working on Telewest. It’s not like there isn’t enough time, really.

And I thought the scheduling of it was a bit funny in the first place – while I’d rather Metallica than Melua any day, how many people who normally watch primetime Saturday night BBC would?
Update: according to the Beeb, “the concert was running behind schedule”. So they stuck in Katie bloody Melua and Crowded House where Metallica should have been and Rihanna where Spinal Tap’s mega-bass version of Big Bottom should have been. At least 412 other people agree with me.
If you wanted to give a flavour of the other concerts, some good advice would be not to take up so much time with vacuous little “interviews” with acts at the London gig and instead simply have wall-to-wall music. It might even work too if someone tries it. And of course there was six hours of overnight programming where they could have stuck it. The entire London gig, as a special event, should have been shown without alteration or interruption; these events are generally unreleasable on DVD without significant rights issues and thus require major alterations.
